About me
Originally from Scotland, I have lived in several countries before settling in London.
My own experience of psychodynamic and psychoanalytic therapy has been a huge influence on my decision to become a psychotherapist and continues to inform my understanding of the therapeutic process.
I regularly attend conferences, seminars, and training events to deepen my understanding of contemporary issues within psychotherapy, including gender, sexuality, race, class, and disability. I welcome clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
My work is supervised in accordance with UKCP and BACP accreditation standards.
Training and Experience
I undertook a Master’s degree in Psychodynamic Counselling and Psychotherapy from Goldsmiths University of London. My clinical experience includes working with NHS Talking Therapies through The Awareness Centre in Wandsworth and The Good Mental Health Company in Elephant and Castle. Before this, I completed a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Psychology and a certificate with Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland (COSCA). I am currently undertaking further on-going training with The Guild of Psychotherapists in psychoanalytic work. I am an honorary psychotherapist at the reduced-fee clinic of The Guild of Psychotherapists.
I am an individual member with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and subscribe to the BACP Ethical Framework.
